What is Art?

Art can be described as the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination which produces works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power.

Hello and welcome.

Art has always been a passion in my life since I was a young child. Whether it my love for music, food, dance, needle crafts or miniatures I have always been involved.

In my early childhood years, I was involved in ballet, tap and jazz classes. I also learned to play the violin which I continued for 20 years. In my high school years, a close friend’s mother taught me how to cross-stitch and crochet. Fast forward about 15 years and that’s when I attended culinary school and became a chef. Around that time is when I started paper crafting thanks to the Cricut machines. I fell in love and I was hooked, but I wanted to make bigger and better crafts than just cards and scrapbook pages. Hmmmmm… what was next 3D projects possibly.

When I started building in 3D that’s when the world came alive for me. My dad gave me a dollhouse one year for Christmas and I remember working on it together, although he did most of the work it was still very fun bonding experience for the both of us. Now I am creating miniature houses and furniture and applying various techniques for finishing these pieces.
